Fredrik: Ballet is a formalized kind of performance dance, which originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century, and which was further developed in France, England, and Russia as a concert dance form. It’s not a sport.
They train really hard and I respect their effort, but it’s not in any way, shape, or form a sport. If ballet was a sport it would be called sucking.
Jan: Unless it’s possible to bet on the dancers, or drink beer while watching them.
